This one is a winner according to my lovely daughter. Simple to make and easy on the eyes.
Brie Wonton Cranberry Appetizer
Makes 24
Ingredients:
Precut Wonton wrappers (sold in supermarkets usually in the produce section in pkg of 60 wrappers. These can be kept in the fridge for practically forever
8 oz of Brie (cut into 24 pieces about 3/4 in in size)
1 can whole cranberry sauce
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp grated lemon peel
Spray mini muffin pan with PAM
Place one wonton wrapper in each muffin well and bake in 350 oven for 12 minutes or until edges are crispy. Put one piece of Brie in each wonton, put back into oven with aluminum foil over the top for 3-5 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Meanwhile, heat cranberry sauce in saucepan over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until warm. Remove from heat and add 1 tsp of lemon juice and 1 tsp of lemon peel. Stir together. Add 1 tsp of mixture to each wonton and serve.
Now for the exercise of the day.
This one works, arms shoulders waist and legs
It is called "THE WOODCHOP" Very appropriate for this woodburning time of year!
If you have one, take a 3 or 5 lb medicine ball in your hands. (If you don't have one use a barbell or nothing if you don't yet have any exercise equipment. The movement is the most important thing)
Stand as though you were going to chop a log. Hold ball in both hands over your right shoulder, your left leg forward. Swing arm forward, over the shoulder in front of you and lower as close to the floor as possible without straining. See how this emulates chopping wood? Repeat on this side for 10 reps. Move to the other arm and do 10 reps. Repeat again on the other side for a total of 2 sets of 10 reps each side. Increase to 3 sets of 15 reps as tolerance and endurance increases. Great for the shoulders, arms, waist, hips and hamstrings.
