Sweet Onion Salad Dressing

Today I thought I would share another of my wonderful mother's recipes. I have never served this without getting requests for the recipe. Kids love it so I think that's a good thing. You can modify the recipe to be as healthy as you choose.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup finely chopped sweet onion (such as Vidalia)
1/4 cup of cider vinegar
1/4 cup sugar ( I have used Splenda and it works. Perhaps better to try with regular sugar and then with Splenda to compare results).
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp dry mustard
1/4 tsp celery salt
1/2 cup oil (any vegetable oil, olive, walnut, etc. Your choice. I prefer vegetable or olive)

Combine all ingredients except oil in a blend and mix well. Add oil slowly and blend until creamy. Transfer to container with a lid and refrigerate before using.

NOW FOR THE EXERCISE OF THE DAY. I WILL KEEP IT SIMPLE AND EASY AS PROMISED. HOWEVER, ONE OF THESE DAYS I WILL HAVE TO INCREASE THE INTENSITY.

This one targets those abs.

Lie on your back with your hands behind your head. Raise you legs straight up with heels pointing to the ceiling. Lower legs slowly to just before touching the floor and count slowly to 5. Bring knees in and to your chest. Straighten legs again toward the ceiling and repeat until 10 reps have been completed. Remember to keep your abs engaged and count as you go to keep your breathing even. As tolerance improves increase reps to 20 and do 2 sets with a 30 second rest between sets.
